Open Access Policy

Open Access, Archiving and Repository Policies of NDU Scientific Journal

1. Gold Open Access

This journal follows the **Gold Open Access** model. All published papers are made immediately and permanently free to access, read, and download for everyone worldwide without any subscriptions or paywalls.

2. Article Processing Charges (APC)

No Fees: Submitting, reviewing, and publishing manuscripts in our journal is **completely free of charge (0 AZN / 0 USD)**. All publication expenses are fully funded by **Nakhchivan State University**. No submission fees or processing fees are ever billed to the authors.

3. Creative Commons License

Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. This allows readers to:

  • Share: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
  • Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.

Provided that appropriate credit and citation are given to the original authors.

4. Digital Preservation & Archiving

To ensure long-term availability and preservation, the journal's metadata and full texts are preserved in:

  • LOCKSS / CLOCKSS: Globally distributed archive libraries.
  • Wayback Machine (Internet Archive): Full snapshots of published archives are preserved.
  • PKP Preservation Network (PN): Safe storage to guarantee permanent accessibility even if the journal ceases publication.

5. Author Self-Archiving (Preprint & Postprint)

The journal is compliant with **SHERPA/RoMEO** policies. Authors retain the right to self-archive versions of their work:

  • Preprint (Pre-refereeing): Authors can share drafts on pre-print servers (arXiv, bioRxiv, SSRN) at any time.
  • Postprint (Accepted manuscript): Authors can share the post-review accepted version immediately.
  • Publisher PDF (Version of Record): The final published PDF can be shared instantly without any embargo period on platforms like ResearchGate, Academia.edu, or institutional repositories.
